We at GFL are excited for the opportunity to bring world-class solid waste and recycling collection services to the City of Richmond. Nothing substantial is changing with the program, however, expect a more robust collection service. We want to ensure a seamless transition, leading up to and after the new service start date on August 2nd. Below you will find some important information regarding what to expect in July as well as the changes in service beginning on August 2nd.

What to Expect: July 19th through July 31st

New Poly Carts will be delivered to residents during this time period. Each residence will receive one (1) poly cart for normal garbage and one (1) poly cart for recycle. Attached to the poly carts you will find information about the new program including your service days for garbage, recycling, yard/green waste, and bulky waste as well as recycling program information.

Please continue to use your current, Republic Services poly cart for garbage and your current bin for recycling until July 31st. Beginning August 2nd, please start to use your new GFL poly carts for garbage and recycling on your scheduled service days.
